Heritage for the blind uses proceeds from the sale of donated items help fund our programs and services, which provide the blind and visually impaired with the necessary tools and benefits to live more productive lives.
When donating household items you will be provided with a tax receipt of your donation for your records.

Tax Considerations
New Federal Income tax regulations require donors claiming deductions for charitable contributions consisting of property other than cash worth more than $500 to file Internal Revenue Service Form 8283, Non cash Charitable Contributions.
